Mazda has been one of the most successful manufacturers in the second annual Car of the Year awards, taking top honours in three key segments.

First-Ever Mazda CX-3 – which arrived in March – was voted Australia’s Best City Car, the flagship New Mazda6 was recognised as the Best Family Car over $30,000 for the second consecutive year, while New Mazda CX-5 – Australia’s favourite SUV – was again awarded SUV Car of the Year under $50,000. described the New Mazda CX-5 as “the benchmark in the mid-size SUV segment and the best in class for refinement, packaging, performance and efficiency”, while the First-Ever Mazda CX-3 – Mazda’s smallest SUV – “rose to the top with its contemporary design, compact size, satisfying dynamics and value for money, along with outstanding quality and its fun-to-drive character”.
